An astounding 22 Hudson Valley middle schools made the list of the best in New York State.

Hudson Valley schools are once again making headlines. This time, thankfully, it's for a good reason. 22 middle schools in the local area were named in Niche's list of the 100 Best Public Middle Schools in New York. Even better, two local schools made the top 10.

According to Patch, Scarsdale Middle School, the top ranking Hudson Valley Middle School, came in at number 46 nationally. The top middle school in the country was BASIS Scottsdale in Arizona. Middle schools were ranked by Niche based on academic and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education, as well as parent and student reviews.
