Amazon Takes Steps To Build Distribution Center In New York
Hudson Valley Whole Foods Amazon is one step closer to getting a building permit for an upper Hudson Valley distribution center.
A lot of towns are fighting for Amazon to build their Headquarters 2, or even a distribution center, in their area. Lucky for the Hudson Valley, Amazon is taking steps to build a distribution center in the region.
According to Patch, Amazon has gotten clearance that the proposed land for the distribution center will not need extensive environmental evaluation. It is planned to be on a 116-acre piece of land, just off I-90.
Last month, we reported the initial announcement for the plan to build the center in New York. The plan is for the center to open in Shodack of Rensselaer County. It will be 1 million square feet and have over 800 full-time workers.
