As the spring weather moves into the Hudson Valley, so does road construction. One particular project is expected to cause issues for students and staff going to New Paltz High School. An article written in the New Paltz Times, talks about extensive roadwork on South Putt Corners Road.

The project will begin Monday, March 26 and will continue through September. Construction work will take place daily from 7am to 5pm. There will only be one-lane of traffic at most times. Most of the work is expected to take place north of the school. That means traffic coming and going from Route 32 will be less affected, but traffic coming from Route 299 will be the most affected.

Of course, the traffic for the New Paltz High School will be affected the most. The school is asking student drivers to us buses whenever possible during the construction period. Students forced to drive to school, should plan on extra time to get to school.
