A local chef is going to appear on Food Network's 'Chopped' on Tuesday, March 6.

Caitlin Salisbury of Kingston will compete on the Tuesday, March 6 episode of 'Chopped' for $10,000. According to Hudson Valley One, Salisbury began cooking at a professional level just a few years ago. Caitlin started her cooking career locally, in places like Grimaldi’s in New Paltz, Yum Yum Noodle Bar, and Diego’s Taqueria.She said her competitors had decades more experience cooking than her.

Salisbury couldn't reveal much about how she and the other contestants did on the show, but she did say it was a long day, as reported by Hudson Valley One. She said she thinks the people running the auditions for the show enjoyed her personality because she wouldn't stop talking.

The episode, titled ' Dim Sum Yum' features three other contestants as well. All 4 will compete for the cash by first making an appetizer. One loser will be eliminated, and the other three will make an entree. Then one more is eliminated and the final two make a dessert to determine the big winner.
