After a few quiet years, Lindsay Lohan recently reemerged as the new spokesperson for Lawyer.com — a fairly ironic gig, given her embattled past with the law, though one both the company and LiLo are leaning into hard.

"When Lawyer.com first reached out to me, I was confused and a little scared because I thought I was in trouble,” she joked in an ad. "After talking to the team, I realized Lawyer.com is just about helping people, from getting a DUI … let’s not pretend like I didn’t get one … or two or three, or some others.”

By now, the former movie star is perhaps more famous for her legal run-ins than her acting credits: She's been arrested on multiple occasions for charges ranging from shoplifting and reckless driving to violating her parole. But she's since put her wild antics behind her and settled into life as "a lady who lunches," spending time between London and Dubai.

Still, in light of her new job, it's worth taking a look back at the long, tumultuous road it took to get there.
