Small Plane Has Engine Trouble, Lands in Dutchess County
Tease moments late Saturday morning at the Hudson Valley Regional Airport in Wappingers Falls as a small plane had engine trouble. According to a report in the Poughkeepsie Journal, New Hackensack Fire Chief Anthony Marquez said the plan had some engine trouble but landed safely.
The plane was a small two-seater and was returning to the Hudson Valley Regional Airport. It was privately owned and the owner was the pilot. He reported engine trouble around 11:17am, Saturday morning. New Hackensack fire was notified some three minutes later according to the report. By the time the fire department arrived on the scene, the plane was already on the ground. The fire chief said, the pilot reported the engine to be sputtering not stalling. The plane landed safely and there were no reports of any injures. There were no further details on the incident, including where the plane had been, it appears to have taken off from the airport and this was the return flight.
