Busy Hudson Valley Dunkin’ Donuts Location is Closed
If you stop at this popular Dunkin' for your morning coffee, you'll want to make other arrangements this month.
Caution tape is preventing customers from even entering the parking lot of the Dunkin' Donuts on Route 9. The popular morning stop in front of Toys R' Us in Poughkeepsie went dark last week with little warning to customers.
Signs on the front door simply say that the Dunkin' Donuts store is closed, directing customers to visit one of the other nearby locations. A Town of Poughkeepsie plumbing permit is also posted in the window, indicating that construction is being done on the restaurant. The parking lot also shows evidence of pipe work.
Parking lots for all of the adjacent buildings were recently repaved, suggesting that this may just be part of the improvements being made to the shopping plaza. Our calls to the restaurant went unanswered and there is no recorded message with further information about the closing.
We did talk to a representative at the Dunkin' Donuts just a few miles south who told us that they do expect the store to eventually reopen, but no timeline was given. The Route 9 location is still listed on the Dunkin' Donuts website. We'll keep you posted if we find out more.
