A prominent foodie magazine recently featured 8 Hudson Valley restaurants and 5 Catskill restaurants.

Food & Wine Magazine is one of the biggest food and drink magazines in publication, if not the biggest. In October 2018, they did a feature on restaurants in the Hudson Valley and Catskill regions for people looking to leave New York City and get some nature in their lives.

For me, the most surprising restaurants in the Hudson Valley they featured were Tony's Newburgh Lunch and Pete's Hot Dogs. First off, both of those spots are amazing and have an incredibly special place in my heart. But I was surprised to see a foodie magazine feature something as low-key as Newburgh Lunch and Pete's. I feel like that's truly a locals only staple. Hopefully, that doesn't mean people from the city will invade these spots (because no one wants that).
