A new 30,000 square foot dog park has opened in the Hudson Valley.

According to a press release from Justin Rodriguez, the assistant to Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus, a brand new dog park has opened in Newburgh. The park has opened at Cronomer Hill Park in the Town of Newburgh.

The park will be open from dusk until dawn, according to the press release. It has benches, tables, and pet stations. Cronomer Hill Park already has lighted multi-purpose fields, a soccer field, lighted tennis courts, playgrounds, and an observation tower, according to the Orange County Government's website.

The press release states that this will be a place for dogs to exercise and socialize, and be another way for community members to utilize Cronomer Hill Park. The park cost $25,000.  Orange County was able to save $10,000 by using an outfield fence from a baseball field at Cronomer Hill Park, and by installing equipment and signs in-house.
