First of all, let’s thank St Patrick for this special holiday. What other holiday allows us to grab all the candy that’s being thrown from leprechaun-lined floats, drink green beer for days and have the perfect excuse to wear shamrock and shot glass beads? Let’s not forget about the "Kiss Me I’m" (you know the rest) shirts along with those fake orange beards. St. Patrick’s Day allows those who are Irish and those who wish they were the chance to celebrate.

It has evolved from traditional parades to a month-long series of events and celebrations. Who can resist those early morning pancake breakfast featuring green eggs and bagels along with the ever so popular corn beef and cabbage dinners? HOLD ON, somethings missing… THE IRISH SODA BREAD! Also, this year Krispy Kreme has joined the excitement by selling green doughnuts at participating locations.
