This Cat Keeps Trying To Get In My Apartment
I don't have a cat, but I do have a heart and this cat is tearing at it.
I live on my own; no pets, no roommates. So last night when I get home from trivia night, a cat runs up to me. I think nothing of it, because I know a few tenants in my complex have cats and I see them all the time, this one included. However, I've noticed with this black cat recently that it doesn't have its typical collar.
Ignoring that, I OBVIOUSLY pet the cat, and continue walking to my place...but so does the cat. I stop, the cat stops. I walk forward, the cat walks with me. Following me all the way up my outdoor steps. I make it to my front door and this cat perches himself on the welcome mat. Waiting patiently for me to unlock the door. I realize, that this cat is trying to come in.
I'm definitely more of a dog person, but this cat is very cute. HOWEVER, I do not want to pay for the care of a cat or the deposit to have a cat in my apartment. I also have no clue if this is someone's cat. BUT it's hung around my window sills and all that jazz beforehand. Was this cat abandoned? I have no idea. But when I took the trash out late last night, the cat was asleep on my outdoor furniture and I could have cried.
